Mike Ebert

Mike Ebert is the Vice President of Engineering and Business Development for Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. He was responsible for the operation of Safety-Kleen's East Chicago Refinery from 1994 to 2011, first as Refinery Manager and later as Vice President of US Refinery Operations before accepting his current position. He was also Refinery Manager of Safety-Kleen's Breslau, Ontario, Canada refinery from 1990 to 1994.

Mr. Ebert holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASC - Chemical Engineering) from the University of Waterloo and a Master's of Business Administration degree from York University's Schulich School of Business.

Mr. Ebert is very active in the local community. He chairs the board for Communities in Schools of East Chicago and the Carnegie Arts Center in East Chicago. He is a board member and Treasurer for the East Chicago Waterway Management District. He is a board member for the East Chicago Education Foundation. He is a board member and former Chairman and Treasurer for the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce.

Linda D. Randolph - Educator/Community Consultant

Linda Randolph was born and raised in East Chicago. She graduated third in the 1969 class at Roosevelt High School. Linda received a four year scholarship to Boston University and graduated with honors in 1973. She continued her education at Chicago State University, the University of Illinois in Urbana and is currently taking classes at Indiana University Northwest. Education has been her passion for over 40 years.

Linda was a special education teacher for 20 years and a principal for 15 years. She is currently an education/community consultant with L&R Innovative Solutions. She also serves as an education advisor to the Honorable Mayor Anthony Copeland of East Chicago.

Linda enjoys supporting activities which encourage children to reach their potential academically and socially. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States and many other areas such as Mexico, Paris, Costa Rica, Korea, Japan, Liberia and Ghana. Whenever she travels, her itinerary includes visiting local schools.

Her involvement with community organizations is very fulfilling. She serves as president of the East Chicago Education Foundation, treasurer of the Woman’s Improvement Club of East Chicago. She also sits on the Katherine House Boys and Girls Club board, Working Outside the Walls, the Lainai Fluellen Charities Mentoring Committee, and the Hospice of the Calumet area. Linda is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and the Chicago Principals and Administrators Association. She is an active member of the St. John A.M.E. Church of East Chicago.

Janet Wozniak

Janet has served as Program Manager at the Foundations of East Chicago since 1999. As Program Manager, Janet oversees all grant activity, conducts site visits, ensures grantees are following their budgets and assists them with any issues which may arise during the course of implementing their programs.

She was born and raised in East Chicago and her goal with the Foundations is to be able to give back to her community.

Stephanie Madison- Whiting

Stephanie Madison- Whiting is the Service Center Manager of Teachers Credit Union (TCU), Whiting Branch. Stephanie is the previous Manager of Harris Bank in East Chicago, where she began her career in the Financial Services industry. She actively participates in many organizations and currently serves on several Boards of Directors: East Chicago Education Foundation, Carnegie Arts, Whiting Arts Council, Hammond Rotary, Nathan Hale PTO, and the Whiting Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Whiting Robertsdale Community Improvement Corporation and the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Junior Achievement. Stephanie resides in Whiting with her husband, Adam, and two daughters, Skylar and Mia.

Damian Rico

Damian Rico is the Community Online Director for The Times Media Company. In his role at The Times, he oversees emerging hyper-local websites in twenty-four communities utilizing social media and mobile tools to promote positive news in various cities and towns. Rico earned his Master's in Business at Indiana Wesleyan University, and his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in both Communications and Clinical Psychology from Purdue University Calumet.

Damian Rico is actively involved in many business and educational initiatives and serves on several boards and committees including the Drexel Foundation, East Chicago Education Foundation, Munster Rotary Club, Crystal Taliefero Music Foundation, Northwest Indiana Salvation Army, One Region, One Vision Education, Working Outside the Walls (WOW), among others.

Damian is continually participating in efforts to foster and strengthen effective communication in dynamic learning environments and to influence high quality public relations and marketing strategies among municipalities, schools, businesses and organizations.
